Embedded Social Network Analysis Tool

You have a software solution and you have identified the need for network analysis. Why build it yourself? You can simply embed our powerful and flexible network analysis tooling into your product.

What is the difference between Polinode's standard network visualization tool and embedded social network analysis?

At the heart of Polinode is our powerful, interactive network analysis and visualization tool. We make it easy to upload network data from a variety of sources, including Excel and more advanced formats such as GEXF.
It’s very simple to get started with our standard network analysis and visualization tool. You can sign up for a free account and start uploading networks right away. Once uploaded, you can share these networks with others by giving them access within Polinode. If the networks are public, you can easily share a link.

The key difference with our embedded social network analysis tool is that it allows you to integrate our powerful network mapping software directly into your own product. It’s seamless, white-labeled, and cloud-based, providing your users with access to network insights instantly.

Since it’s an embedded solution, you don’t have to worry about storing the data or handling the back-end logic for analytics. We take care of it all—allowing you to add advanced network analysis and visualization functionality to your SaaS tools and software right away, helping your users derive powerful network insights.
Benefits

What are the advantages of Polinode's social network analysis tool?

Our users come from a diverse range of categories, each with unique needs and solutions tailored to their specific goals. Explore how each customer type leverages our tools to achieve their objectives.

Seamless and secure

Our embedded solution is designed for private networks, it’s both seamless and secure and facilitated by single sign-on. It can be configured so that your users don’t need to login to Polinode or interact directly with our systems.

Use our powerful API

Push data to Polinode via our powerful API. We make it easy to manage both large and small networks for your users and your product.

Cut time-to-market by over 90%

Save yourself from having to build a custom network analysis and visualization solution; focus on getting a product and delivering value to your users faster.

Benefit from a constantly evolving and user-friendly product

Polinode was founded in 2014 and has always had network analysis and visualization at its core. Our product has evolved a lot over the years and will continue to do so. Ensure that you always have a secure and cutting-edge solution as part of your product.

 Over 30 metrics out-of-the-box

We offer network metrics such as community detection (to find clusters in the network), betweenness centrality and Pagerank that scale well to large networks. You can even use our API to attach your own custom metrics to your network data if you want, e.g. your own custom influencer metrics.

How does Polinode's SNA software compare to other common SNA tools? What is the best social network analysis tool?

The key advantages of Polinode are that it's cloud-based, scales to large networks, comes with high quality and dedicated support from our team of network science experts and has a user-friendly interface.

Gephi

Gephi is an open-source network analysis tool. It scales well to large networks. Why is Polinode a great alternative to Gephi? One of the main advantages of Polinode is that it's cloud-based and, of course, we offer the ability to embed Polinode into other applications (which is not possible with Gephi). Polinode also has the ability to save up to 50 different views per network, which Gephi does not offer.

UciNet

UciNet is a network analysis tool that has been around since the 80's. One of it's main advantages is that it includes a large number of different network metrics. Polinode is a great alternative to UciNet because it's cloud-based so doesn't require any software installation and because it handles large networks efficiently.

Pajek

Gephi is an open-source network analysis tool. It scales well to large networks. Why is Polinode a great alternative to Gephi? One of the main advantages of Polinode is that it's cloud-based and, of course, we offer the ability to embed Polinode into other applications (which is not possible with Gephi). Polinode also has the ability to save up to 50 different views per network, which Gephi does not offer.

NodeXL

NodeXL has historically been desktop software (in Microsoft Excel) used for the analysis of social network data such as X, Reddit, YouTube, etc. More recently, NodeXL has also integrated with PowerBI to add cloud-based analysis of social media data. Polinode is a great alternative to NodeXL because of its flexibility and the ability to white-label Polinode and embed it in other applications.

Pajek

Power BI has some very rudimentary network visualization functionality. However, it is missing a lot of core social network analysis functionality, including network metrics. Polinode is also a great alternative to Power BI for network analysis because it's a dedicated network analysis tool and has features such as layers and views which allow you to explore sub-networks and save the insights for sharing or further analysis.

Tableau

We are often asked the question: Can you use Tableau for social network analysis? The short answer is no. Tableau is great for relational data, like rows and columns, but it is not optimized for the analysis of complex networks. You’re much better off using dedicated software for social network analysis, like Polinode. Just as Tableau allows you to collaborate with others, Polinode enables collaborative networks too.

Additionally, just as it’s possible to embed Tableau views into web pages and applications, you can also embed Polinode’s networks directly into your own application.

How do I get started with Polinode's embedded social network analysis tool?

The best way to get started is to request a demo from us - that way we can understand your use case and talk you through how our solution works, including the technical details. In the meantime, please feel free to sign up for a free account so you can see our powerful network visualization tool in action.
